You roll out of bed, feeling your feet thump on the soft carpet. You sigh, your vision fixing on the dresser with the mirror on it a few feet away. You keep a steady pace as you hurry down the sidewalk; you glance up every now and then to admire the falling petals. Their presence almost soothed your nerves; what if he wasn't there?
