Literature Text

"Sebastian, I need to ask you something." You sit on the bed, watching as he begins to fold and put away your laundry. Admittedly it had been a bit uncomfortable to have that talk with Ciel; it was awkward even looking at Sebastian when Ciel was around now.

"Go ahead, my lady, but do hurry." He closes the drawer, turning to you.

"When I came here the first day, you said I was pretty...for a human. What does that mean?"

Sebastian gives you a blank look, then closes his eyes. "I regret my word choice," he admits. "I did not think I'd see you again. My young master took a liking to you, and insisted we invite you back. Though by then, I'd thought you'd have forgotten."

You clench your fists. "Pardon me, but that does not answer my question, Sebastian."

Sebastian looks down at you. You suddenly feel meek compared to this man. He's extremely tall, as you've noted before, and you've heard of his capabilities. "P-please," you stutter. "I just want to know."

Sebastian drops to one knee, grabbing your hand, looking you directly in the eyes. "My lady. It seems I have taken a liking to you."

Your heart skips a beat. "Really?"

Sebastian nods. "In a different way than you might think, though. See..." he gets closer, brushing your hair from your face with a devilish smile. "I'm not your average butler."

Your breath catches in your throat. Go on.

He looks around before muttering, "I am simply one hell of a butler."

You give him an angry look as the amused butler stands up. "Now, miss, an explanation. You could say I'm a fellow fiend of hell to my young master. This is where we will both end up. However, in fact, I have developed feelings for you. In a different way than most humans do. Demons don't have attraction to their prey. They have something similar; soul entwining. It's sort of our way to show 'love.'"

Spiritual entwining? "Sounds a bit more romantic, in a way."

"It's when a certain soul inside of a demon particularly outshines the rest and, in turn, let's the emotion of "love" drift through to the demon itself. That isn't all. Eaten souls can emit anger, and sadness, but for a soul to let love drift out and overtake the demon's own greedy desire? That's extraordinary."

You were struggling to understand, and you were sure that how he had explained it was off in some way. "So...there's this runaway soul emotion thing?" You feel stupid.

Sebastian sighs. "A soul has managed to overtake a part of me," he said curtly. "It's because of that I am able to feel, and the strongest emotion in this soul had to have been love. Do you understand, my lady?"

You nod. "I guess. So, you know I like you, right?"

"Of course. You don't keep well to secrets, do you?"

You blush and look away. So Sebastian was capable of love! And he did like you back! There's feelings for me taking over him, you think excitedly. I should help.

You stand up and kiss him, taking the butler by surprise. You don't break the kiss, hoping with all of your heart that this helps him like you more. He eventually kisses back until you're in a deep make-out session. He pushes you over gently but with ease, pinning you to the bed. Your face reddens.

"You're not making this any easier," he mumbles to you as he adjusts himself so he's holding himself over you. "I have my master to attend to, and if this emotion takes me over any more...it would not be a good thing, my lady."

You shudder. "Not to you," you reply flatly. You had to note how turned on you were, with him laying over you like this.

He leans down, kissing around the nape of your neck as you giggle like a child. He draws his tongue around your neck before kissing you again.

"Sebastian!" Bardroy's voice rings through the house and the butler shoots up. Before you can sit up to look for where he went, Sebastian had disappeared.

***

Stupid Ciel. Why did he have to get hurt right then? You can't help but pout at the table. Ciel had an ice-pack on his head, leaning heavily on his butler. You suddenly feel a twinge of jealousy at how close these two were. Ciel had fallen out of a tree in an attempt to get his ring back, which had been thrown up there by Lizzy.

Stupid Lizzy, you think as angrily as before. Sebastian had his arm around Ciel, holding him close to his chest, murmuring in his ear as you ate, stabbing your green bean roughly with your fork. You pick it up, spinning it around before flinging it into the nearest potted plant.

Sebastian glares at you from the other side of the table before helping his master up, leading him out of the room. When he comes back several minutes later, he looks distressed, which must have been unusual. "My lady," he began, his voice ringing around the empty room.

"My master got hurt. I abide by our contract, and I promised to stand beside him. I let him get hurt. This cannot happen again. I will have Mey-Rin escort you upstairs when you have finished feeding our plant pot."

You blush slightly, looking at you plate. "I just..."

Sebastian was already gone, his tailcoat flowing behind him. You rub your temples, groaning. You swipe your dress over the floor out of boredom. Putting your plate aside, you get up. I don't need the maid to escort me, you think grumpily. You head through the den room to the staircase, but Cie's voice stops you.

"I can't."

You stop, walking over to the boy on the couch. He is propped up in a comfortable position, holding the ice pack, but he has a glare in his eye that scares you.

"Ciel?" You lean down, looking at him.

"I got hurt."

"I..I'm sorry, lord Phantomhi--"

"Sebastian has other things he must attend to!"

You try to tell yourself Ciel is not being rude. He's telling the truth. This was his mansion, after all. His home. His rooms. His butler.

"Please," you say, your voice breaking. "I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry as well, but my butler and I have a contract. I should be his first concern. If I am injured again, I do not expect it to be my cook who comes to my aid."

Your jaw gapes. "It...it won't be, lord Phantomhive!"

"I'm sorry," he says firmly. "I cannot risk any more incidents. You can still stay here, since we offered, but from now on Sebastian and you can no longer have any relations beyond him taking care of you, as a butler would take care of his masters' guest. Do you understand?"

You choke back angry screams. "Yes, lord Phantomhive," you stutter.

For a moment you think you see regret and sadness flashing in Ciel's eyes, but if it was there at all, it was gone in a heartbeat.

"Right. Now, I believe you can escort yourself to your room."

With those words, Ciel was dismissing you, and you have no choice but to hurry on to your bedroom.
One more part after this, then it's done!! ^^ Expect the finale to be a little longer, OK? So, yeah, actually, I think this was my favorite to write so far xD (No, I won't write any sex scenes.) Here ya go :3

I feel like that is what Sebastian whispered in to Ciels ear earlier......
